Brownie a La More

brown a la de more

My sister had a party to attend on Wednesday and the requirement was that everyone had to bring in one dessert to share. We knew that her friends really enjoy brownies, but she didn’t want to just bring in some plain chocolate brownies. Instead, we made walnut chocolate chip brownies drizzled in thick chocolate ganache and topped off with some meringue frosting that was lightly toasted and some graham crackers on the side. Black Sesame Cookies

I was at the international section of Wegman’s when I came upon some fresh roasted black sesame seeds. The seeds had an addicting aroma to them, and I knew that I had to use them for the next dessert recipe! For most meals, sesame seeds are used to flavor salty entrees, but its nutty flavor also goes well in cookies. For these cookies, we decided to use a recipe made by Nami from Just One Cookbook since the overall flavor of the cookies stay true to its Asian origins.
